2014 Budget: Structural Reforms likely

AmResearch Sdn Bhd expects a gradual subsidies rationalisation and implementation of the goods and services tax at the budget presentation in October.

"Owing to fiscal reformations and reduced subsidy bills, we anticipate effectiveness of government spending and a boost to long-term productivity of the nation despite higher price pressure ahead," said AmResearch when commenting on the latest outlook by rating agency Moody's Investors Service on Thursday.
